Just thought you guys might be interested...
The Charlotte FanForce hosted a multi-fandom event called Star Voyages this past weekend. It was held at a library here in Charlotte, the library where we have our monthly book club meetings actually. It was an event to expose kids not just to Star Wars but to science-fiction in general. We had some help from the Carolina Garrison of the 501st and from the Klingon Assault Group, a local Trek/Klingon fan group. We had displays of ST and SW collectables, story time with Jada, games-Star Wars Monolopy and LEGO Star Wars II on Playstation and the kids could get their picture taken with the 501st and KAG. We had a pretty good turn out. A local group that helps troubled teens came down and had a good time. I think we all had fun. Anyway, if you would like to see pictures from the event you can see them
