Glad to hear you are doing okay. We have been getting reports so we are keeping tabs on what has happened.

Hi Dan....
Good to hear your ok. I have family in San Bernardino and my mom's house is currently just over the hill from the Martin Ranch fire. As of last night it hasn't shifted in their direction. Four years ago, when the fires ravaged SoCal, a fire came over the ridge and destroyed the homes on the opposite side of the street she lives on.
As for the weather here, it's not quite blue skies, as you look you see a brown haze, most of which is fire smoke from SoCal. And as the sun was setting the sky on the horizon was yellow/orange. Last night I was watching the news, with the window open and noticed a smell of something burning. Just after I noticed it, the anchor on TV made comment of it and how the air quality in the valley is 200 times worse than it normally is this time of year. The closest fire was the Magic Fire (Stevenson Ranch) that threatened Magic Mountain theme park. My prayers are with everyone down their dealing with this disaster.

This morning on my way to work the sky was blue but I never looked out this evening. I guess it depnds on which you you look.
