I posted this under another topic, but I thought I'd open a new one for people that don't sift through open topics.
I just got my midnight show tickets at the Eden Prairie AMC 18 in suburban Minneapolis. I also picked up some for a show later that day at 12:45 in the afternoon. So it's Star Wars, sleep, and then more Star Wars. Woot. If you live in the Minneapolis area, the Eden Prairie AMC is the only theatre in the area with DLP, ask for theatre 3. Hope to see you there.

yeah, I don't know. I was at the box office and he asked me which theatre I wanted to be in and I obviously said the one with DLP. He told me three, and I went with it. Good luck I guess.

I just called them and the guy said he talked to his manager and they're not even sure if they are going to get it on DLP and that I should check back in a couple of weeks to find out if they have it and what theater it will be playing in.

Funny, he told me that he was 99% sure they'd have it and the only theatre it would be in is #3. So I guess if they don't get oh well, it's not going to be digital anywhere else. And if they do, woohoo, yay for me. I'm gonna guess that they have it in digital by opening night.

What's a Barry Bonds fan doing in MSP?  We're a lonley sort out here. I bet they'll have a digital version of it, they just don't want to make any promises until they have it.

I grew up in the Bay Area, about half an hour east of San Francisco. I just moved out here about a year ago. So I'm a huge Giants fan, and of course a fan of Mr. Bonds.
As far as the DLP thing, I agree with you. Best not to promiose anything unless you're sure.

I'm out due to poor internet ticket site. They should get a digital showing, Lucas wouldn't stand for them not getting it, it's his project to get DLP into theaters and this is the only one in the tri-state area. Lucas is going to make damn sure every DLP projector is playing Episode III for atleast a month. BET ON IT!

I got 9 for 12:01 at screen #3 too. I was wondering... how long before the show are you all waiting in line? I have a few of us going early but I don't get off of work until 9:00 pm. It would be fun for us to like all get together and block off a bunch of seats or something? work together to get everyone's groups in the prime section to see it.
Also, who else is going in costume?

Well, I'm not going in costume or anything, my nerdiness only exists on a certain plane. But to each his/her own. As far as when I'll be there, I'd say around 4:30 pm. I'm hoping the line by then isn't ginormous so I can get a good seat. The sad part is I'll be by myself as I couldn't get my gf to come with me and bask in the glow of ROTS, she said something about having to work early or something, whatever. I'm pretty new to MN so I don't really know anyone, but it's gonna be great anyway. So if you see a lone dude sitting near the front of the line reading "Who's Better, Who's Best In Baseball" feel free to say hey or stop, point and laugh. I won't be offended.

Nerdiness has nothing to do with it friend... this aint no movie... it's an event and I'm not ashamed to go to the last SW movie ever in style.
Anyone else attending besides this SFer? If so, let's group it up and save seats in Theatre #3 for DLP viewing action!
