I'm shocked an organized Star Wars fan group like this didn't secure DLP tickets?? I mean come on, I bought them more than a month in advanced - is there a reason why this theatre wasn't on your priority list instead of Coon Rapids?

Yes many.
The biggest being EP didn't have the abilitiy for us to have an all day Tailgate party in the parking lot which was our priority.
If it was just a matter of seeing the movie why bother planning anything at all.

Yeah, EP didn't want us hanging out all day long in costumes and stuff. So we decided to go someplace that would allow it.

I'm getting frustrated with that theater. They still can't guarantee me what times the DLP theater will have the movie on opening weekend. Maybe I'll try talking to the manager. Anyone else get tickets for Friday or Saturday in EP?

I'm surprised to hear all the problems people are having with EP. I got my 12:01 tickets and my tickets for 12:45 pm the next day, went to the box office to get them and the guy assured me that I was in the DLP theatre and they would have the digital print.
My advice, if you want to take all the guess work out, is go to the box office and ask for whatever time they are showing in theatre #3 on whatever day. That's the only room they have with the DLP projector so it shouldn't be a hassle.

Exactly, I don't understand your problem. I called for weeks and finally got Aud # 3 which is their DLP theatre. Why the frick would they care if you dress up and wait in line? the DLP ticket is more important than anything else anyways -- we're talking the freshest cut of the movie at the earliest time possible folks.

No, the point it to hang out with friends and see the movie with your friends.
Either way, we are planning a EP showing in May, so we will see it... just not "First".
Besides, for EP2 it's was more fun to dress up and hang out and get the crowd excited than it was to "just stand in line" in civies. That's why we looked for a theater that would let us costume up and work the crowds to get the geared up for the movie.
No one is going to *die* if they don't see it first at EP on the digital. That's why, as a group, we decided to Not go there.

Yeah, I don't know that it's the most important thing, but as someone who is not getting dressed up I'll be perfectly happy waiting in line in my shorts, a polo and my Jordan's. Bottom line is we all get to see the movie the minute it comes out and that's all that matters.
