Greetings,
I certainly do not intend to "compete" with another event that you have planned, but I just wanted to make people aware that there will be another line forming at the Inver Grove Heights Showplace 16 starting on Tuesday, April 17th. Episode III will be showing on seven screens at midnight, and the theater management is aware we are coming, and have gone out of their way to accomodate us.
If you are interested in the line, please visit http://rotsline.com
Again, I wish the other groups of fans out there the best with their plans for Attack of the Clones. Our "pitiful little band" has camped out at this theater for the first two prequels, so the location has alot of sentimental value. :-)

I appreciate that but this is board is for the Minnesota Force. Not just a place for fans in Minnesota.
I feel it is rude for other clubs and groups to use our resources to promote their activities.

I guess that is where I am confused. The board is through TheForce.net, and seems to be a place were fans in the Twin Cities area should be able to communicate with each other.
I think making the board "exclusive" just to the events of one group is not exactly fair. Maybe I am misunderstanding the purpose of this forum though?
Everyone in Minnesota is not going to one theater to see the movie, so people should be presented with options and at least be able to talk about it on this forum, which seems like a public domain to me.
To borrow a quote from Die Hard 2, I don't want to "p!ss in your pool" or anything. I'm certainly not trying to start a feud of any kind. I think it's great that others are getting together at different places to line up for the movie. I have thoroughly enjoyed it for Episodes I and II.

I guess I don't really understand why it's such a big deal that we're saying where we're camping out. When I saw the thread asking where everyone was lining up, I didn't know it had to be from a certain list or something. I didn't know these were exclusive threads for FanForce members -- How about instead of calling us rude you kindly explain to us how we can get involved with the FanForce and work with us instead of against us? We're fans like the rest of you -- There's no reason for tension or censorship.

I am sorry you missunderstood the purpose of this forum. It is not a public domain.
This is the boards for the Minnesota Force which is the Twin Cities Minnesota Chapter of Fan force. This isn't simply a place for force.net fans in Minnesota to post about what ever they wish.
Sorry.
This board is and always has been "exclusive" to one group. All of the Fan Force boards here on theforce.net are "Exclusive" to one group. The Chicago boards are for the Chicago Force, The Indy boards are for the Indy Knights, the Detroit boards are for the R2Detroit club. So on and so on.
Our banner is on the boards, our links are above, our announcements are displayed so it is well marked as such.
At the very least other groups and our event coordinators should take the time to at least ask us before using our boards and resources to promote their activities. If another club wished to work with us and wanted to work out something with us to use our boards to advertise their event then they should contact either myself or Mirax80 to work something out instead of just posting it on our boards.
I am sorry if some people miss understood.
We were allowing the other threads to continue until our own announcement was in place. I am sorry that perhaps we should have spoke up sooner but it's our opinion that now that we have an event to announce our message boards should be used for our event alone.
I hope that explained our position well enough. If not feel free to PM me with any questions.
Thanks.
