What personal attacks did I make? I'd love to know. It's a personal attack to express an opinion that threads shouldn't be locked just because they compete with a MN Force event? A little thin skined are we? Why can't people just admit they were wrong instead of making up stuff about personal attacks?

Stop what? Defending myself from the false accusations that I made personal attacks? From your own PM to me you said that I called out no one by name. I would think that personal attacks would have to mention someone by name. How can you make a personal attack on someone if you don't mention the person you are supposedly attacking?
Now I will say that I made comments on your group as a whole and how I disagree with how your group chooses to operate. However, that is not a personal attack and I resent the accusations. After all, the accusations against me are personal attacks.

I'm just going to repost what Jedi Dajuan posted:
1. This club is based out of the Twin Cities area. Most if not all the events will be in that basic geographic location, rightfully so. If the club is a bit far for you, anyone is welcome to try to create a closer one. You can always PM me or another mod about that or start a thread either in here or in FF Comms. Often if a thread is started here you will find a few other people who are in your same boat.
2. No personal attacks are allowed on these boards at all. If you have a problem with a person, PM them and try to get it cleared up, it may be a simple misunderstanding or PM me. I'm always happy to talk about anything (problem or otherwise) with anyone.
3. The members of the club get to decide what is announced on their boards. As I said in the thread in FF Comms: Each forum "belongs" to the group who inhabits it. Some FanForces are really open to having all sorts of info on their board, others only want official events announced. As RSAs we try to follow the wishes of the City Rep and/or the leadership of each club, with in reason of course. If they want only certian things announced on their board, that's what we follow.
The group is under no obligation to announce events for other fan groups. Often times local groups will get together to plan an event, but both groups must agree to the plans and simply talk to one another about it. It seems in this situation, no one bothered to talk to the leadership of Minnesota Force about cross promoting events. If there is no communication, how can an event be planned?

Listen that's fine with me. You guys run your group however you see fit. However, it's obvious that the way you choose to run it rubs many the wrong way and I would bet it's limiting the memebership of your group. I highly doubt I'm the only one who has been turned off by your group over the years. I'm not going to bother posting on this anymore, I wasn't going to post anything after my first post until I found out I was being accused of personal attacks.
My only point originally was to point out to those in leadership positions in your group that there actions are turning away at least one fan and possibly more. You can either choose to say screw you, we don't care, your a jerk anyway (which is your right and ture, I am a jerk) OR you can listen, look at yourselves, and think about loosening up. Maybe say, hey, we are all just Star Wars fans and we want this group and this board to be a place for Star Wars fans to get together and share happenings and events around the cities. We'll have our official gatherings but we also want to share other Star Wars related events because that's good for the whole community of Star Wars fans.
