but one thing remains... dr Who is back on telly!
I just hope they don't do a "marvel" and ignore what came before... I few nods to teh series' past would go down a treat with fans

If it was one of the old doctors then he wouldn't have recognised him!

What is this interruption by Norton everyone is talking of?
I didn't see Graham Norton after the end of his show
I don't remember that weird blob thing being in the old Auton episodes
Does anyone remember if it was?

when Rose walks into the storeroom with all the unnoticed autons , you could hear clapping and graham nortons voice for less than a second. but on two seperate occasions.

I realise that about not recognising him, just thought they could've said something about how there were 'others' who were known as "The Doctor" throughout history.
Anyway, I liked that they kept the Tardis dematerialisation sound the same, but with an extra echo effect at the end (I think).
EDIT: I also distinctly heard Graham Norton say "Am I down there, then?" or something like that (so it wasn't that distinct!).

I always think it sounds like a whale at the end
I thought that background noise was part of the episode

I heard that now I think about it. But I thought it was just part of the show, I didn't recognise Norton's voice.

Thats the BBC for you
They often seem to lose sound during transmissions
They even lost picture briefly before the episode began

It was ok. Will have to see the rest of the series before i could lay judgement. My only gripe would be Can you really fit an entire Doctor Who story into 45 mins? Its a bit of a push.

Oh, I meant to mention that. Cliffhanger endings have always been a part of the programme. I thought the self-contained story worked well, though.

I woudnt say that is a nessesity. Plus, if you notice, a lot of teh DR WHO DVDS are 4 episodes around a disk.. 4 eps a story, now only 3/4 have a relative cliffhanger ending.

they'll be a couple/ few two parter episodes withihn the series, just like the older episodes
