Sounds like fun
And more Cybus Cybermen?
I suppose they'll do another rift thing to begin them back, although I'd prefer actual Cybermen. But I suppose a lot could happen in this series that might allow them to come back.
Any mention in the article about whether David Tennant will be in it?

Thanks Richie and Spike for confirming about the high gravity/density thing - I actually remembered that on the way to school this morning and was filling Moylesy Jr. in about it.

I wonder why the Sontarans were disabling the guns rather then facing bullets. Surely their armour is bulletproof so they have no need to do that.
Unless they were protecting the clone chamber.

To keep the FX budget down?
The Doctor recognised the technique straight away, he's obviously come across the Sontarans using this before (maybe not onscreen though).

True, but even he commented on how unlike the Sontarans it was to be doing that.

My assumption reagrding the gas is that it is inert until something triggers it off, Donna's grandad is not going to die (along with millions of others). Of course, the Doctor will stop that trigger action happening.

Maybe it's just to make them all in a zombie state like the soldiers, so they can do the Sontarans' bidding and help with the clones.

Absolute horse****. Probably the single worst episode of the new Doctor Who so far. Ridiculous, overblown, preachy, absurd, convoluted, every step a misplaced one, absolute garbage.
And the preview for next week? Dear god.
The show is an absolute mess. Do they even need the Doctor anymore? The ensemble cast is so insanely large that the Doctor is reduced to little more than the basic exposition dialogue.

Viewing that as pure family entertainment that was extremely good. Worth this month's license fee alone, well done all involved.

At the end, Donna's Grandad told her to go with the Doctor to see the stars.
I thought... lol.

I enjoyed this week's as well. As far as next week goes, has the daughter ever appeared in the older Dr Who series? Or is this a brand new revelation?

We know he has a grand-daughter.
Super Spoiler -
The daughter is actually created from the Doctor's stolen DNA. But (and this is brilliant) she is actually played by the real life daughter of Peter Davison.

Ah. I've never really watched the older Dr Who series. I've seen the odd show here and there though.

The grand-daughter (Susan??) was an assistant to the very first Doctor where the original idea of the show was as an educational vehicle to teach the masses a bit of history. To this day I don't think any of the show's writers have touched on the issue.
