The whole gay couple thing and the kiss did look like they were shoved in by RTD for no major reason.
As much as I abhor RTD doing things like that, I can give a pass to this instance. My sister watches loads of these murder mystery things on TV and several of them have had a rich gay bloke having affair with serving boy sub-plots," from what I can remember.
The kiss by Donna on the Dr was actually quite hilarious, so no problems for me there.
I suppose this means there's a planet inhabited by giant wasps.
A galaxy full of colonies if I remember the line correctly

Dominant species, we can squash wasps here but hitting one of those alien beggars with a rolled up newspaper would not do much good.

Oh Glorius day! Not that I don't like RTD - but Moffat is infinately better. Blink and The Empty Child are some of my favourite episodes of the new season.

Excellent news. His creative mind will hopefully take the show to new heights and hopefully not make it so Earth-based.
Credit to Davies though, he revived the series well, but he just ran out of ideas rather quickly.
