That was the cheap episode obviously. It built the tension quite well but went downhill after the "monster" was revealed. Should really have left it at 12 episodes and saved some money.
Good trailer for next week, but surely that UNIT guard who says the Doctor is dead was the one taken over by the Sonatarans?

I didn't really notice - I was still telling the TV that the episode sucked and trying to finish up a banner load to the TFN server. (That's how bad it sucked - I was doing a banner load during Dr Who!)
Edit - I'm watching Dr Who Confidential on BBC3. I'm actually liking it better than the episode. It's pretty interesting.

Bizzarely, I thought this episode was decent. Not Amazing but decent enough (especially compared to that awful Sontorann two-parter, the doctor's daughter & the "Unicorn and the wasp").
David Tennant really stood out in my eyes this week. And whilst the Dialogue was a little off (as is per with RTD), the characters and how they played out was relatively interesting to watch. 'Midnight' had alot of meat to the story, I think.
As much as I desperatly didn't want Rose to return, I guess next week's episode will be interesting

I thought that this episode was very good indeed. I was a lesson in how stupidly people can behave. And a lesson in narrative simplicity.
Next weeks looks like another convoluted and overblown piece of nonsense.

I liked this weeks episode, which was surprising when I saw RTD had done it.

It was different and interesting, but I thought it felt very long. It dealt with humanity and was at times quite disturbing.
It just felt a bit like it was suck in to make up the episode numbers.
Next week's looks interesting. I don't entirely approve of bringing Rose back, since if they say someone can't return then they shouldn't return. She's far too over-hyped as a companion.
Be interesting to see how and if the Doctor "dies", and if he really does why he doesn't regenerate.

I thought it was a really good episode. Certainly more of a commentary on human nature than just yet-another-monster flick. Possibly one of the best episodes Davies has written (nothing can beat Doomsday, yet)

Pretty good. Doesn't hurt to have it a bit different, though some of the shouty shouty bits were annoying. I suppose that was part of the point.
I kept thinking Donna would've been in her element had she been there
It's on the beeb site now that episode 12 is The Stolen Earth.
According to someone who's seen the next ep,
(highlighted though it doesn't actually give away the main thing it's about)
In Turn Left, Donna tells the Doctor something. It's set up that she's going to tell him something, but when she actually did, and it was so entirely not what I was expecting, it was the biggest twist I can ever remember in Who.
