Mustafar_66 posted: What I wanna know is, why did he keep taking cells from his body instead of just taking one or a few and cloning those cells endlessly? It's most likely some explanation like you can't clone cloned material or something. But even then, why didn't he just use Caan instead?
I think a Dalek can't be cloned from another Dalek. A Pure Dalek is made from mutated Kaled DNA, the only remaining Kaled is Davros.
That is why when the Dalek Emperor made new Daleks he hybridised them with humans, and why the Cult of Skaro were also using humans.
Caan objected to Sec's ideas of changing Daleks, the only way to restore pure Daleks was to bring back Davros.

BBC News are doing a Dr Who story on the 6pm news sometime in the next 15 min...
Edit - nothing really new. It was on right before the weather if you want to try to catch a repeat on News 24. There's also an extended interview with Russell T Davies here on the BBC News website.

Well, you get pretty much every other decent TV show before us (Lost, Heroes, 24) so it's only fair we have at least one or two in return.

Hiya, from SAFF (South Australian Fan Force) which at the moment is 7.05 pm, Saturday 5th July with an overnight temp of 7 degrees celsius & with a top temp tomorrow of about 15 degrees celsius. Not to bad for an Australian winter.
Just looking around at the moment, the only person I can say that I know of here is edgejedi, I have spoken to him a couple of times at our Rebel Legion site. (Tatooine Outpost)
BTW: Sorry if I have made a mistake and have forgotten anyone!
Just thought I would go for a wonder around, and see what the rest of the Fan Force boards of the world had to offer and I noticed a Dr. Who thread. Well I just had to stop by and say 'HI'. Been a Dr. Who fan for years. (Since the early eighties)
Can't wait for this Sunday 6th July, we are finally getting Season 4 here.
I suppose you guys have already seen season 4 by now.
Anyway must be going, see ya around...

Nice to see you here, Cho. Some of us have met the SAFF member, Kooky, in Edinburgh a few months back. Members of the SAFF are most welcome here
Season 4 finishes 2nite.
And I'm missing it 'cos I'm going out for a meal

Really enjoyed it (although towing the Earth was a bit silly).
And the boys were absolutely terrified of the Daleks
And again Caan was brilliant.
