Thought it was good. For some reason though I'm not as into it as other episodes.
Cant put my finger on why though, just a feeling I have.
Some great fanboy moments though, like The doctor and rose commenting on 'meeting' Gwen before. Lots of people have wondered if there would ever be that connection made.
Although for the whole episode (like last weeks) I kept wanting them to cut to either jack or the torchwood team. I think my fanboyness has moved shows to be honest.

Yeah, the German Daleks were pretty good. I liked the 'towing the Earth' and the idea of all 6 of them flying the Tardis. (I liked the music as well!)

I agree, the German Daleks were awesome!
The Gwen thing was about a past episode when the Doctor and Rose met one of her relatives in the past (when it was the 9th Doctor's series) who was played by Eve Miles, that's why the Doctor saw a resemblance.

Sadly (and I mean sadly) it was a bit of a mess. On the odd occasion a simple dynamic broke out, it worked well... but for 90% of the time we were jumping through complicated hoops.

Bittersweet. I think.
Rose got her man, but the Doctor didn't get his girl (in a way). Donna didn't die, but she also lost everything that was good about her that she became when she was with the Doctor.
Their goodbye was gut wrenching because it meant so much to him, but nothing to her at that time.

It was ok, better than I thought it would be. The ending still jarred like mad though (not the bit with Donna, that was brilliant, but the bit with Rose ). It was like a skeleton of a story; there was a basic structure but no meat holding it together.
Interesting to see how it'll lead into the Christmas episode though. For the first time we've not been given a lead in (First special: Doctor regenerates, second: Donna in the TARDIS, third: Titanic through the hull.)

Can I suggest you try something like War of the Worlds instead? Not very complicated, aliens attack, they catch a cold and die, the end.

Hell I'd recommend WotW over that episode any day. Damn, I'd recommend The Very Hungry Caterpillar over it as well but hey ho...

I can see where Everton is coming from. This episode seemed to have much more technobable than the others. Hell it had more than the usual episode of star trek.
It was all just to show off doctordonna aswell, but it wasnt, as it was still important to the story. So what you thought was just donna and the hybrid doctor giving examples of how smart they were REALLY quickly was actually stuff you needed to hear and understand to keep you in the story.
For us sci-fi fans sometimes we forget about this stuff, as we are used to it and understand certain technobable. But this time even I was having to listen realy carefully to catch what they were saying about the meta-thingy (still cant recall the term lol)

Actually, there's a special before the Christmas Episode - maybe that's why. Rumoured to have no enemy, and the Cybermen for Xmas. To tell you the truth, there's going to be 4 Specials after the Xmas special, or so several sources have told us all...

Is there? First I've heard of it. Any idea of how long it's supposed to be? I know the Cybermen are back, but it'll be interesting to know why the Doctor ends up in what I assume to be Victorian England with no catalyst (such as an intrigued companion). Also, if he does end up there, I wonder if there'll be any repurcussions from his banishment by Queen Victoria in 'Tooth and Claw'?

I have to agree with Everton. The episode was so jumbled up that it annoyed me.
As for the Xmas special, I'm almost afraid to imagine what really will go on. Cybus Cybermen walking around and then being destroyed by gold or something equally stupid? All I have to say is, roll on Moffat's Who.

Why can the human doctor live but doctor Donna couldn't?
Why does the Earth been flown though space only cause a few book shelves to shake like a low scale earthquake?
Can Freema Agyeman acting be any worse?
Basically, a lot of nonsense garble and pure cheese intertwined with some really good moments. Tennent gave his best performance yet I felt and Tate as the Doctor Donna was actually brilliant, after not been keen on her she has really grown on me and sad to see her go. Stand out was Davros though, brilliant.
But seriously, flying the planet, that almost had me turning the TV off.
