Hello to David Morrissey (one for the fivelive fans out there).
Good finale. I also think it lost itself a bit; too complicated and too much technobabble even for Doctor Who's standards. But the endings were great and probably what RTD does best. Felt Davros was slightly under-used too, but when he was on-screen he was great and maybe Dalek Caan was the real star/villain/hero of the show.
Feel gutted for Donna and the doctor. In many ways that was worse then just killing her off.
And now the future.... looking forward to seeing what Steven Moffat does, as long as it's not a repeat of his Jekyll series which was rubbish. I hope he makes some significant changes which will give the new wave of series a different look and feel.

I thought Jekyll was great, though it went off the rails a bit in the last two episodes. I have high hopes for his tenure as showrunner.

Mustafar_66 posted: It was ok, better than I thought it would be. The ending still jarred like mad though (not the bit with Donna, that was brilliant, but the bit with Rose ). It was like a skeleton of a story; there was a basic structure but no meat holding it together.
Interesting to see how it'll lead into the Christmas episode though. For the first time we've not been given a lead in (First special: Doctor regenerates, second: Donna in the TARDIS, third: Titanic through the hull.)
Actually, there's a special before the Christmas Episode - maybe that's why. Rumoured to have no enemy, and the Cybermen for Xmas. To tell you the truth, there's going to be 4 Specials after the Xmas special, or so several sources have told us all...
Is there? First I've heard of it. Any idea of how long it's supposed to be? I know the Cybermen are back, but it'll be interesting to know why the Doctor ends up in what I assume to be Victorian England with no catalyst (such as an intrigued companion). Also, if he does end up there, I wonder if there'll be any repurcussions from his banishment by Queen Victoria in 'Tooth and Claw'?
Yeah, the Cybus Cybermen are back - along with a bronze cyberman with diamond head handles, called a Cybershade. Yes, it is set in Victorian England. There's pictures of a Male person, seemingly going around with the Doctor in many pictures linking the the Xmas special. It would make a change in having a new male companion, just like the good ol' classic series...
The next Doctor Who special is the Proms Special. It's meant to be a short scene that will be broadcast on the 27th July as part of the BBC proms season. RTD has stated that there'll be a special returning guest(s)... A past Doctor(s)? Let's hope so!
And if you thought that's cool, it'll be followed by a 45th Anniversary Special! (Before Xmas!) And after the Xmas Special, there'll be a number of Specials, rumoured to be 4 of them.

To answer Ramble's question:
The human-doctor survived cause he was the doctor in everyway, except he had 1 heart instead of 2.
Whereas Donna was still Donna in every way except she had all the doctor's knowledge shoved into her brain.
She said she got the doctor's best bit, his mind. That was all she got. And thats why she was dieing, because her human mind could not take all the knowledge and extra brain power she was given.

The repeat starts in about 20 minutes on BBC3.
Edit - I want that piece of music they play when the Erarth is being towed. Anyone know what it's called? I had it cranked up for the repeat.
And why is the Tardis designed to be flown by 6 people?

The music was written by Murray Gold (as is the rest of it)
Hopefully there will be a 3rd Dr Who soundtrack released later this year and it could be on that

Now I don't know if it's just me reading far too much into it but..
I've a feeling the episode was designed to rekindle the Timewar or at least open up the possibility of us finding out what actually happened.
My reasons for thinking this are...
In part one the Dr said he saw Davros die at the beginning of the war and that he had tried to save him.
At the end the Dr see's Davros die and tried to save him.
The Eccleston Dr said he oversaw the genocide of the daleks by singlehandedly destroying them.
The one hearted "human" Dr went ahead and did this very same thing.
I've probably explained things really badly but I've a feeling that as the time lock on the war was broken by Caan then various elements though lost from the time war will seep through. Possibly even another time lord or lady

I enjoyed the episode a lot. The techno babble is best overlokked, the Doctor goes on rants like that all the time, and Donna did also.
I actually thought the concept of the Reality Bomb had some proper science behind it. The massive gravity well created by all the planets would've bent time and space into forming the out of synch area the Daleks were hiding in (as Einstein predicted).
The energy created (z-neutreno or whatever it was) was an interesting idea, credit to RTD for thinking up such a device.
German Daleks were most amusing, although illogical.
I thought Julian Bleach was excellent as Davros, as was Nick Briggs doing Caan.
Disappointed Donna didn't die as such, but her removal any way is acceptable. Rose ending seemed pointless, but the creation of other Doctor was neccessary so I guess they had to do something with him.
Obviously the Daleks will return (no-one is definately dead if they aren't seen dying), perhaps even Davros.
I was pleased that many of the bad rumours turned out not to be true, such as Harriet Jones being a Dalek, or the Master returning.

She was the opposite of how she used to be, which was leaving her mouth open whenever she'd finished speaking.
Maybe she's had some dental work done.

What's illogical about Daleks speaking the native language of the country they're currently in?
That reminds me, for the entire two-parter, Rose annoyed the hell out of me.

The Daleks only speak english because the TARDIS translates whatever their native language is (Kaledish/Skaroa or whatever variant thereof). The TARDIS was not present across the world, and I can't think the Daleks would go to great lengths to learn the language of every nation or planet they encounter.
I think waving a death ray stick in the general direction gives off the same message in any language, and if they don't understand then they can be exterminated.
I realise it was done for fun, and it was very funny, so it can be overlooked.

a) The Daleks have to communicate with their human slaves. The TARDIS will translate for the Dr and his companions, but the rest of the world, from UNIT, to Torchwood to Sarah Jane Smith in her house, will have to hear "Exterminate" in English, because that's their native language. In Germany it will come out as 'Exterminarum', etc etc.
b) "The Dalek's a genius" - The Ninth Doctor (Dalek).
Any species that can slice through a lock with a trillion combinations can easily learn one simple Earth language when it's their job to occupy the area where the language was spoken and instruct the local population to do their bidding.

Fair point. It is also possible since they have mechanical battle suits that they can modify the sound output to be the language of any species.
