And the repeats continue on BBC3. Monday night the Christmas Titanic episode is repeated from 7pm-815pm, followed by Dr Who Confidential until 9pm. Then, on Wednesday and Thursday they are repeating older episodes at 7pm. Rose is on Wed. The End of the World is on Thurs.
I'll probably watch the Titanic episode. I'm not sure on the others. It depends on what else is on.

Thankyou David Tennant for saying no to RTD wanting to have next years Christmas episode as a Harry Potter/Dr Who crossover. That would have been sheer hell!

Exactly how would that have worked?
The Doctor can go forward and back in time, but he can't go into a fictional novel and meet characters. It's not meant to be Alice in Wonderland.
Good on Tennant being a sensible man.

Read that today. It really did sound like terrible fanfiction.
Roll on the four specials so we can have Moffat take the reins.

Sounds pretty interesting. Oh, and the title for that episode is called...
The New Doctor
I was pretty confused when I read that there would be two people going by the name "The Doctor" from somewhere in the Christmas Special.
And Paul McGann (8th Doctor) is rumoured to appear for an episode in Season 5 as his former Time Lord-self.

With Richies link, I heard that the other person is an imposter, although we dont find out straight away.
Sounds interesting, and I hope McGann comes back for a flashback, maybe regenerating into Eccelstone!?!

Went to see Russell T. Davies and John Barrowman at the Cheltenham Festival of Literature yesterday evening. They were very very good - obviously great friends and very funny too. I don't know if anything they said was new information, but Davies said that Prince Charles had turned down a cameo in Doctor Who, and turned down the chance to write the new Star Wars TV show. Despite my disapproval of what Davies has done with the show, the bloke came across as totally genuine. I believed him.
Anyway, Davies was signing his book A Writer's Tale after the talk. So I bought a copy and had it signed. He wasn't doing anything other than 'To <your name>...' then his name. So, to bypass that, I had him sign it as follows:

I'm suprised he was offered the Star Wars TV series, but I'm glad he turned it down. As good as it was for him to revive the sereis so well, his style became repetitive and not so interesting.
I'm sure Moffatt will take the series to bigger and better heights

If RTD was to wrote for the new SW show I probably would have screamed like a small girl - not caring where I was - for the longest time.
Infact I could imagine how the show would have been if he was to write the show:
- The (new) gang need to get somewhere heavily guarded. they screwed, right? Wrong! it just so happens that one of the guys has 'Magic Keys' that make you invisible for no reason whatsoever.
-the space battles would be set to 'Scissor sisters' or any other pop act.
RTD turning it down was the best decision he's ever made - the exact oposite of the person/people who offered it to him
My god, I can't wait for him to leave DOCTOR WHO
