Butthe galifrey destruction story was around before this series, they just never said a lot about it or who had done it.
Therefore the Daleks would be a suitable scapegoat

Well I can't think of any other race (besides maybe the Cybermen) who could cause such devastation.
And I can't think of many other villains who would hate the Time Lords more then the Daleks

Anyway, I thought that the tree womans computer refused to acknowledge that he existed?
If that is the case, how did she know he was a time lord? if the computer didn't know what he was how could she? I mean if his race has been wiped out of 'existance' she would have no memory wouldn't she?
