Guy can someone help? I was tidying up my laptop by deleting softwares etc that I rarely use and I deleted a couple of things like the audio off my laptop ( but I got that back) however I also deleted some sorta 'syncroniser' thing (which for example if you click and drag a box, the movement isn't smooth whatsoever it moves across very static. the same when you scroll down an internet page). Not a blooming clue how to get it back sad

Of course I did :P

it's the general frame-rate of the computer. When I drag a box on my desktop ( or scroll up/down on the net) it's really jerk-y. just annoying more than anything

Well, unless it was still in your recycle bin and you simply took it out, you might need a reboot to get core files back.

If you have Vista, it's entirely possible it's just Vista being **** as per usual.

Let this be a lesson to people, don't play around with files if you don't know what they do shame_on_you

I'm no PC expert, I don't go into Windows folders and delete stuff because I don't know what any of it does. I trust my Virus Scan software to delete problem files and out of date stuff and my shredder to empty my recycle bin which makes the PC faster.

You make me sound like a right plonker! I didn't just go and delete files willy-nilly simply because I was clueless as to what it did. What I was deleting wasn't exactly 'problem files', I was just wanting to uninstall programs that, according to the 'add/remove programs' function-thingie, were rarely or never used in the hopeof giving me a little more memory, etc.

But Richie's right, kids: Don't mess with that particular area on your computer

Publican, I need a drink. I'm enduring the second day of a series of Take That concerts. On Friday they had fireworks, although they have not just yet concluded for today so might be repeated. Also they were so loud on Friday that the windows virtually shook for about 5 minutes due to music. Today we are having a helicopter hovering over the area for the last nearly two hours.

I say, AC/DC was a lot more fun. And sadly only one day. There is another two days of Take That. Tomorrow and Sunday. Next week Oasis. Grrrrr....
