Did a little checking tonight. BA are selling airline tickets around £320 each way, looking for £620 return trip inc. taxes, et al.

If you're spending more than £450 on flights you're being conned mate. Wait until around Nov/Dec this year before you seriously start looking, as the flights tend to peak in terms of cheapness about 6 months before travel, or literally just before you leave.

Phill, I went over lots of times to see my gf in 2004/5, and the prices did change with the season. £600 was Christmas time I think, CIII (April) was £300-400 I think - all return prices to NYC. We got a smaller plane from NYC to Indy for CIII.
The Fan Force Celebration 4 forum is here for people to check through. There is help with picking hotels on there.

I think some of us will, but there are going to be at least two groups going from two different locations - Manchester and London.
And I don't want to confirm anything because this year will mean a lot of changes for me - first I am now out of work and looking (very much fun lol *shudder*), and next will be finding somewhere to new to live (rented most probs, no point settling down, my life always seems to change when I get rested - kinda apt having Bolton as a surname really, bit of a wanderer). So, knowing that all this may well put stop to plans next year, I will be holding back till probs Autumn/Nov-Dec before I really know. Unless I win the lottery, then I am so there

Not to mention, I may be there a little longer than the rest of you. My mate lives in Hollywood, and my bud from West Brom is planning to move out there around May next year, so I might be catching up with them before C4 starts. I'll have to check with them first, though.

If there is a group travelling from London please can they include me as i will be on my own otherwise and it would be so good to have some company!!By the way Timbolton i hope that you find work and somewhere to live soon,the best of luck!!

Thanks for the kind words quigonjaf1961, it is appreciated I have a house to live in still, but it will change later this year. Jobwise, I am looking and applying (Job Centre is happy with me, in fact I have surprised them supposedly with how much I do, even though I feel it isn't enough). So I am fine, first week was hard. But life is full of change, you either go with it, or get knocked over by it.
I'll make sure if there is a London group going, they know to include you 
*looks up auditor in dictionary* I haven't done that side of things tbh Tethys, but it'd mean relocationing a little too. I have two jobs I'd love to do applied for, keeping me here where my family is, let's see where the applications go (hopefully not in the bin). But thanks

We met at the London Film & Comic Con at the weekend at our table. It's hard to say at the mo how many London based members will make it but I'll keep asking around so hopefully we can all travel together if there are a few of us.
btw, for those who were at the LF&CC this weekend and picked up the brochure, you may have noticed the 'Secret Event' scheduled for July 2007. I'm not sure exactly what this is, but I'm hoping it will be announced soon and I think it's something most people here would be interested in, especially those who can't quite afford going to LA. Again, I would like to stress anything can happen so please don't get hopes up. Here's a PDF of the brochure:

Our Best Fare from HEATHROW to LOS ANGELES is from £265 (+ £172 tax).
Flying with AIR FRANCE. Leaving on Tuesday, May 22, 2007, and returning on Tuesday, May 29, 2007.
However I dont think I could bring my self to travel on Air France!
