Also remember that if a large group of us are going, then we can share a room between 4 or 6 or something like that. To be honest, at C3 I was only in the room for about 5 hours whilst I slept. The rest of the time I was either at the convention or at the bar!

They are constructing hotels across the street from the convention centre as we speak but they will not be ready for C4 but will be for C5 in 2009.
I think the best way to plan it is make a reservation somewhere as back up then just see what gencon has to offer in terms of discounts and other things.

Ive got flutterbys. Phill, Ive also had a PM from Norma asking if we are going.
Re ID - Ive always used my Driving Licence as ID, it has a photo on it and my DOB. Ive used it in LA on four visits and its never caused me any problems. It easier to carry than a passport as well.
Costume Ideas are go!

I'll def be going. I already saved a bit in anticipation. I went to LA last year and it was amazing. I think it would be worth staying in the middle rather than downtown tho. Anyone going to fly from Manchester - I live in Leeds and hate flying - talking star wars would def keep my mind off the 30000 drop! (No I don't outwardly exhibit signs of panic so don't worry). I'll be going on my own too.

I'm not going to get worked up about staying on the LACC doorstep and going where the stars are, lets face it, most can just go home anyway. Ive stayed in the downtown area of the LACC on my last trip over and I will stay there again. Remember LA is MASSIVE . I quite fancy the radisson again. I know the area, its 1.4 miles from the LACC and Ive walked around there at night with out feeling threatened.

From what I've seen as well, it might be worth going out early this time, since they are talking about a whole load of SW events in LA leading up to the Celebration.

yes I might go out the weekend before, would be cool if tey had a marathon showing of all six at Manns Chinese theatre. It would be best to get Hyperpsace membership for $19 bucks as they will let us in the first day early....
the 3D version may get its world premiere there........
