That's alright, it'll still be pretty good then.
But I seriously doubt the Karl Urban thing. Just...wrong. Simon Pegg's brilliant though. I can easily picture him as Scotty.

We need someone to do a little photo comparism thingy....
As long as they look right I would have no worries regarding Karl Urban portraying Bones at all, he is an accomplished actor after all. Simon Pegg worries me though, is he not a stand-up comedian or something?

When did this turn into teen trek?
Except Pegg and Urban of course. But its the same **** they are pulling with the casting for the Justice League movie. All the cast are really young.
I know its the 'early years' thing, but they are all old enough to be ensigns and no higher. I always assumed the crew didnt all get together untill they were onboard the Enterprise (hell its in canon, Kirk wasnt even captain when spock was on board at first)

I thought this was them at the Starfleet Academy? So, shouldn't they all be early 20's at the very most?

Young is marketable, especially if they're attractive aswell.
There are other movies/TV shows that do the same, whether it works or not.
And being SW fans, we should by now continuity can be changed.
After all, it seemed half the time (not that I watched much of it) that the Enterprise in the prequel series of the same name was more advanced then Kirk's (which was supposed to be the first).
As long as it's entertaining I will watch it.
