Primeval (Season Two)

Just a heads-up that the second season of Primeval starts at 7pm on ITV1 tonight. The final show from Season One is repeated from 145 pm - 245 pm today as well.
I liked the first season, though it did get a bit silly at times.

Just finished watching the last episode of Season 1 on ITV. Got me in the mood for 2nite.
I think we'll be seeing the Superbat again this series

I totally forgot about the repeat this afternoon. By the time I remembered the first Harry Potter film was starting. (I watched that).
I won't forget about tonight's episode though!

Enjoyed tonight's show a lot. And they had a really inventive way of changing the organisation to what they needed (ie the history change)
Wonder how Cutter and Claudia/Jenny get on.

I thought it was funky. Plus I knew the shopping centre they were in and had a birthday in that bowling alley.
No dinosaurs when I was there though.

this show was the biggest load of turd ever created. I'll give this second season a miss. If I see any clips of it, it'll be on Harry Hill's TV burp (where it shall be ribbed, surely :P )

I'm with ya on this one Orn. Who wrote it, one of the producer's five year old son??? Actually that might be complimenting it too much.
Sadly I know someone who does the VFX work on this, so I kinda feel a bit sorry for him having to work with such tosh.

I originially thought it resembled the giant turd from Jurassic Park, but I watched the Season 1 finale on ITV today and it persuaded me to give it another chance. It's actually quite good if you want something entertaining.

Well I'm convinced that with their very Hub-like base of operations, the Primeval guys are basically TORCHWOOD with better government relations and funding.

There's no doubt Primeval serves a purpose, but if something gets seven-eight figure sums thrown at it, don't you think they should have used the money more wisely and made something a bit more worth while?

I enjoyed it.
Largely brain dead, easy to watch Saturday evening entertainment and after the Saturday's I usually have with my kids I like to sit down and watch something that required little to no thinking.
Dr Who requires a modicum of concentration to follow as there are twists and turns, Primeval keeps any twists or turns until the end of the story where I need to concentrate for 5 minutes before I go back to building my lego

I thought it was pretty good escapist fare. Like the last post said, something that didn't require a lot of thought.
Twinky - what shopping centre was that?

It is entertaining, and it's always good to see Dinosaurs.
I don't care much for some of the cast, especially Connor, who really is not as funny as the show tries to make him. Plus he has an awful fashion sense (along with the main boss guy who has a terrible stripey suit).
The Utahraptor was good and seemed to mimic the behaviour it is believed to use. It is good that the show tries to keep the creatures realistic in their behaviour even if they invent some like the bat-thing.
Besides the plot-holes (like Abby not dying when shot with powerful animal tranquiliser) it is good entertainment.
Dr Who is still much better, simply because of the originality of the characters and the superior acting, but this is a good substitute.
I may enjoy it much more then Torchwood.

Connor's the geeky one isn't he? He's a great character! It's the other geezer that's the prat.

The Bentals in Kingston Upon Thames. And they used the local John Lewis in the bit where Cutter and Stephan shot the big raptor and the bits in an electronic section, and also the bowling alley they used is in the nearby Rotunda.
