I was thinking that as well. I think it was just the amusement area that was filmed in Thorpe Park. Actually the woodland reminded me of the woods in TPM. I was wondering if that part was shot there.
(I forget the name of the woods but they are near North London).
Edit - found it. Whippendell Woods, near Watford.

Watched the latest episode this evening and when the Saber-tooth Tiger wasn't in-shot, it was actually quite good & interesting. Sadly when the Saber-tooth did appear, it suddenly got reduced to pooey pant's levels. About as realistic as a jam sandwich springing to life and doing a rendition of Wagner's Ride of the Valkries.
The hints of the main story arch have some promise though, just a shame they can't realise the VFX requirements with this budget and time scale.

Yeah, last night's was pretty good, except for the part where the dragon pet was taken.
I might catch the replay next Saturday since there's no Six Nations next weekend.

Yesterday's episode was great. Reminded me a lot of Tremors, just without the hilarity  (although some bits were funny)
Next week's is going to be nuts. The Future Superbats are gonna be back. Yay!
