I suppose it depends on how much they've filmed of it. They may try something like they did with Oliver Reed in Gladiator.
They may simply re-film it, or scrap the production entirely.


I've heard they'll get Jonny Depp to do the role, but only after Heath falls through some magic mirror which will make him turn into Depp...

At this moment in-time, the production for The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus has been suspended. There is indeed a (wild) rumour that Johnny Depp could step-in, given his good working relationship with Terry Gilliam and the pair still itching to work with each other again after the failings of Don Quixote. There's a scene where Ledger's character disappears when he falls into a mirror, and the plan would be to have him return but somehow changing his form into Johnny Depp. We'll see.....

That was a very moving tribute from Christopher Nolan applause
