And why does everyone always say 'That planet can not sustain life' or 'it must be microscopic life forms to survive on that surface'
Well, um....For US its uninhabitable. Doesnt mean that a totally different life form cant live there. Why do we always qualify life as being stuff that survives like we do?
We evolved to live on this planet, whats to say a life form cant evolve to survive on a planet with a atmosphere like mars.

Agree and disagree with some of the comments on here so far.
Agree that life may not need an Earth type atmosphere to survive, and could very well have evolved on a different path.
Disagree with the Rover sighting theory. Strap a video camera to a remote control car and drive it around for a while. Think about it, how often
do you see a dog or cat just sitting in the middle of the street?
Chances are that if there is life on Mars, it is few and far between and wouldn't come within ten miles of a strange metal box on wheels.
Or the Rover could just be filming Megatron??
