If not, and they all get slaughtered by superior fighters, then at least it would be no loss to society.

I am perfectly calm thank you very much - I just don't appreciate being called names, whether they be felt puppets from the 70s and 80s or marxist/bolshevik revolutionary. I guess I suffer from a sense of humour bypass.

I know I've already said the death sentence should be used for the two oxygen wasters in that article (and rightly so) but after reading that article I'm beginning to wonder if it should extend to their parents.

I was reading that earlier. Beating someone to death just because they're a goth is wrong on so many levels. How would they like it if we beat them to death for being chavs?

As someone who used to practise Aikido, I understand that position although, I'm not sure I would be thinking that if an aggressor was coming at me. I'd want to give them some pain!
I used to support Capital Punishment but I get more and more uncomfortable with it as the years go by. I question whether we as a civil society has the right to kill as punishment. I just don't know and I think its far from black and white - there are many many shades of grey in a debate like this.

Yes that is a minority (although not so sure these days), but just because we are a major western country does not have to mean we are a civilised one.
