Yeah, Britannia going is a real shame. I also think its a shame that Wales isn't represented as an individual nation. I am fully aware of the reasons behind the absence of Wales in the Royal Heraldic Achievement but it does seem a little unfair. But I still like the designs.

I mean in terms of what was formerly the British Empire.
We are so criticised for celebrating our so called imperialist past, yet surely these obscure island nations that are part of the commmonwealth benefit more from being part of it then they would have had we not occupied them originally?
Not that I'm one to support the taking over of other nations or anything, I'm just saying that people shouldn't knock the British Empire, some good came from it.

I actually think that the Irish harp should be replaced by the Welsh dragon on the royal arms. The harp represents the kingdom of Ireland formally under the rule of English then British kings. The only bit still left in the union is a province which, imo, should be demoted - either that or include the dragon at the bottom of the arms.

Aha, I see now. We obviously took over various parts of the world for a reason, tea, coffee, wool, slaves, militaristic or whatever but we gave them education, religion, democracy and a model justice system. The legacy we have is being considered one of the "big" nations in the world and mass immigration.
