No no no Richie, having faith to the orginal is not like making a carbon copy
but to do it in a way that it pleases fans and keep in tact with the story.

Bay is moving away he is changing so much in a point of ridicule
Its what you have mentined before that you didn't like about the film too much human scene not enough robot dialogue.
Thats just one of them.

others include Welker not doing Megatron voice (Which in my opion is the best still now)
and Optimus Prime removing his face-plate was one that got me annoyed.

As for soundwave being something else rather than a tape deck I'm ok with as it is changing time, like I accepted Starscream being a f22 than a f15 .

If bay wants go for a change i hope he uses his common sence.

I can understand someone getting upset over a film adaption of a Classic Novel, long-running graphic novel or established live action series but it's a kid's cartoon isn't it?

So what? What's the difference?

The difference being that those that I mentioned are works of art to the fans whereas the transformers cartoon was merely an advertising ploy.

I'll have to take your word for that as I don't speak Japanese tongue

Everyting I'd read put it as comic before toy but I'm happy to be corrected

Megan Fox is very fine indeed, how she lost out in this year's FHM poll to Cheryl Cole is beyond me.

It may have been when it first started, but the cartoon and toys have achieved cult status since then which easily ranks up there with long running comic books.

As modern times will show, definitions of what is art is pretty varied now.
Transformers were very clever morphing robots, cleverly created and sculpted in their own way. The TV series was among one of the best cartoons produced in the 80s, so I'm sure there are those who deem it to be great work.

Megan Fox is covered in them. She's even got a massive one right up her arm. You don't see them in the movies because I think they cover them up in skin coloured make-up.

DA6 probably does not understand that "Tats" is a shortened form for Tattoo. As for them being covered with make-up, in the trailer her tattoo on her back is very badly covered up.

What are they?

According to the ever-reliabile Wiki article on robots

"there is general agreement among experts and the public that robots tend to do some or all of the following: move around, operate a mechanical limb, sense and manipulate their environment, and exhibit intelligent behavior, especially behavior which mimics humans or other animals."

Why aren't they robots?
If Data, R2D2, T-800 and countless others are robots then how could the Transformers not be?

They aren't exactly human or cyborg are they?
