Maia is arriving in Victoria from Kelowna 27 Jun and staying for a couple of days before heading up-Island for the Canada Day Parade in Parksville.
Many of us are familiar with her name but not with her in person. To that end I am posting a meet-and-greet/garden party for Sunday 29 Jun at my place in Victoria, since she will be staying with me. Please respond to me NLT evening of 25 Jun 08 so I have numbers, and please bring a dish of food to share with the group: i.e. salad, cold meats, veggie tray.

The meet and greet went well, with about half of the locals putting in an appearance to meet Maia. With her little one racing around we closed down before 10pm. Would liked to have seen more people, but everyone else was tied up with work or relatives. Maybe next time. Time to close off this topic.
