Christopher Nolan (Memento) is going to be directing the new Batman movie scheduled to come out in 2005.
On CNN today, they reported that Christian Bale (American Psycho, Shaft, Empire of the Sun), 29, will portray Bruce Wayne/Batman
"What I see in Christian is the ultimate embodiment of Bruce Wayne. He has exactly the balance of darkness and light that we were looking for," Nolan said in a statement.

I like Christian Bale but I don't really see him as Bruce Wayne. Who knows? He might be pretty good.

But isn't Bruce Wayne suppose to be one of the most sexiest men alive...
I think they could have pulled a unknown soap actor and then give him Batman.
Bale I guess is ok, but I just keep seeing him as the guy from Shaft.

I totally agree and that's the main reason why I had hoped they would give Clooney another shot. I thought he made a great Batman. I don't hate Batman And Robin as much as some people do but it could have been a lot better. It was just a bit too campy. As far as Clooney in the suit I thought he looked and Acted the part very well. Visually Clooney is EXACTLY how I would picture Bruce Wayne looking.

I guess Bale will be good enough. This is supposed to be a younger Batman. BUT, I always picture the Bats as a rugged man's man - not a pretty boy. Oh well, we'll see.

I had always thought George Clooney is one of the sexiest men alive and he is a great actor. Just look at From Dusk Til Dawn and O Brother Where Art Thow. I thought he did the best that the script allowed him.

They better bulk him up like they did Thomas Jane for the Punisher.
Batman 5 should be the movie version of Hush. Then all of the Batman fans would be drooling at the mouth seeing Killer Croc, Scarecrow, Joker, Riddler, Ras Al Ghul, Two-Face, Catwoman. It would just be amazing.
