Anyone interested in heading out to the Smithsonian Kite Festival and the opening of the Cherry Blossom Festival on Saturday? I just looked in the Washington Post and realized it was this weekend!

Shucks, looks like I can't make it after all. Are the flowers bloomnig yet? I ought to get out there and take some photos.
I remember one year I went out something like 7 in th emorning. There were people there, but it was barely crowded and I got some really nice shots. Oh well. I've been a cold wimp lately, so not sure even that will happen, LOL.

Oh well, it sounds like the weather this weekend is going to be pretty lousy anyway. I might as well just stay home and sew Amish hats, dusters and cogs. Unless anyone has any better ideas...
