Its kind of dead around here, so thought I'd try and drum up some conversation.
Yes, Kevin Smith has gone and made a sequel to Clerks. The internet buzz is that he did it as a promise to Jason Mewes if he got himself clean and stayed that way for a year. So far from the trailers posted on their site, it features Dante, Randal, an as yet known character played by Kevin Smith film regular Jason Lee, and a cast of new faces. Topics of countertop discussion in the film include Lord of the Rings and the prequels ruining the Star Wars saga.
The film hits theaters today, a month ahead of their initial August opening.
Also, any chance of making this an event? I can't make it this weekend due to prior plans, but possibly we could set up a get-together to go see this.
So let the discussions begin...

Yes, I'm back in MD. Been here for awhile, but work and life has been keeping me very busy lately.
So did anyone go to see Clerks this weekend? What do you have to report (without giving away spoilers)?
