ANNOUNCEMENT: New users are not able to send PM's anymore.

As you might have heared already, a new feature was implemented into the boards' coding yesterday:
As of now, new users are not able to send Private Messages until they have made at least 20 posts on the boards.
So if you try to get in contact with a newbie, they will be able to read your message, but they can't reply to you.
This feature was not requested by the JC administration, and our tech admin is trying to rectify the situation.
But for now, those of you who have adopted a newbie who has not posted much yet will have to find another method of communicating with your adoptee. You are of course welcome to chat with them in one of the social threads here in the Welcome forum; if you prefer a more private environment, exchanging e-mail addresses or Instant Messenger usernames might be a good idea.
I would also like to ask everyone to refrain from posting statements like "PM me if you have any questions" in the new users' introduction threads for the time being. There is no point in offering a service that the newbies won't be able to use anyway, and it would only lead to frustration and lots of "Why am I not able to send PM'S?"-like comments. Ask them to post their questions right here in WNU instead, that way everyone will be able to help answering too.
If you would like to stay up to date on this situation, I refer you to this thread in the Communications forum: 20 posts before you can send a PM - is this really a good idea?. I'm sure the administration will keep us posted in that thread as soon as any new information becomes available. 
(Pash, I hope you don't mind me doing this without consulting you first, but I wanted to get the word out as soon as possible. You're of course free to edit/lock as you see fit.)

That is killer for the Adoptions program; however, as you mentioned there are other methods to contacting one another, and for all of you newbies who wish to be adopted...I will accept e-mails as a way for the time being to notify me privately about your interest in being adopted  .
I hope that this can soon be changed back. Thanks again for the info Morgaine, and it's always good to hear from you .

Yes, WNU is probably more affected by this than any other forum...
Regular users can't post sticky threads, so we'll have to wait for Pash to create one, or just keep upping this one until the issue is resolved.
*edit: I just realized I'm not a regular user.  But VIP's can't post stickies either - only managers and admins can, if I remember correctly.
//2nd edit: According to Raven (tech admin), the situation will (hopefully) return to normal soon.

No, but they can post their problems or questions on this board.
They can either use the thread they started or post a separate question.
But the glitch is being attended to as we speak so it's just a matter of time before zerosleep has it sorted.
