Arlon, I can't tell you much about the waiting newbies. Or at least not more than you can figure out on your own by looking at their profile. The first on the list are the ones who got added lately and the members on the bottom are waiting the longest for an adopter. So I would suggest to ask drewjmore or tjace. When you speak with them through PM, you'll get a feeling, if the adoption might work out. 
Two masters fighting for one padawan? 
I think we never had such a situation before.
Allegra, have you sent out a PM to Santhanos already? If yes, just wait for his decision or talk to Lanna to find a good solution for you both. (If you need me in this case, let me know, please. ) If no, I would suggest to take another look at the list. There are so many newbies waiting that there'll be one who hasn't got asked (or who hasn't got active on his/her own) yet.

I'm sorry that your padawan doesn't answer. But have you given him enough time, about a month? I think you did, but I like to be sure. And if yes, have you send him a PM explaining everything? If not, could you do it, please. This way he knows what happened and gets a chance to understand. Plus sometimes it's just a misunderstanding.
And of course, it's great to see you back again. So could you give me your three most favorite boards, please? Thanks.
