Rats are very clean and gentle animals and they do not deserve the bad reputation us humans have given them. They are MUCH cleaner than dogs.
Nor do they deserve all the disgusting tests we put on them just so we can wear make up.

I used to have a hamster. It died, though. I feed him Cheerios. Who knew hamsters don't like Cheerios?
My sister's first hamster was a mutant. It was nearly as big as a guinea pig (I kid you not). The thing wouldn't die, though. It escaped many times, fell three stories in a heating vent, chewed through a live wire... But then it had Cheerios.
My sister's second hamster was evil. It bit everyone and everything. I'm so glad it croaked. Not that I know how it died or anything...

That is the one thing I do fear about hamsters...their grumpyness. I'd be worried about that. (Sure, rats have an enormous bite force, but most pet rats are very unlikely to bite.)
But hamsters are so cute in pictures..most of the time.

The guinea pig I had back in the day liked to cuddle. Weirdest thing in the world. So, I'd snuggle it underneath my neck and it would just love me right back for hours on end...
... until one day it bit me right in the neck!

I often let my rats groom me, I trust them not to bite me. They know better anyway ^^ I wouldn't do the same with a guinea pig or hamster.
Facerat especially loves grooming me ^^ (Humans are dirty, he thinks.) He'll very gently scrape his teeth over my skin, too. He knows he has to be careful, d'aww <3
*is cooking rice for them*  Will post pictures of their "pie" when it's done.

I absolutely adore rats. I want one some day. I worked at a children's museum where we had four rats that I often got to take care of and play with. So cute.

I once got to cuddle with a long haired piggy. It was the funniest thing ever. It had..blonde curls...and I couldn't find its head at first

(Rice, spaghetti acting as "candle", yoghurt, jam, macaroni. No, they normally do not get jam.)
Rice was mixed with jam so it looks red 
(Because I LOVE that bowl, haha)

my hamster is actually very sweet and kind. I've had her since she was a baby so I raised it well. she doesn't bite people unless their finger smells like her food or they hurt her first.

I wanna get one of those white rats that have those lil' beady red eyes. With one of those I could do many things. It would be perfect on Christmas morning, now that I think about it. If my sisters wake me up earlier then I wanted, the next morning they would find a "surprise" sitting on their chest.
