Greetings all

Hello to all of you. I'm posting for a couple of reasons.
First and foremost to say hi. These forums are a wealth of information on all things SW fan related and I'm glad I finally joined. 
Secondly, I have a friend who has been searching for a role-play partner she met back in 1999.
She is a member of the Force-fx.com Jedi Archives forum and made this post earlier today:
"I'm looking for an old friend of mine I made through MSN roleplay back in 1999. We roleplayed together until 2003 when we fell out of contact. He is a good friend of mine which I have looked for for the past five years. Sure, people have said to give up he's probably not looking for me. But that's not entirely true. A couple of friends of mine that I roleplay with through Yahoo accidentally stumbled upon him in a chat room under a different username. When I came up in the conversation he asked a million questions as to how I was, etc. Unfortunately, those two friends didn't save the archive of the conversation for me. So, if anyone knows a Paul Kenobi or a Paul Cuesta that used to go under the names:

Hi, raze! Welcome to the JC! This place really is a great site for SW stuff, and we're glad you finally joined, too. I see that you're interested in art. Have you checked out the fan art section yet? There's a little something for everyone here on the JC, so have a blast checking everything out.
As for your friend looking for her friend, I did a quick search for similar names on the JC, but honestly, the name could be any combination of a lot of stuff, if the person even came to the JC at all. Best of luck with it, though. I hope you find him eventually, wherever he's gone.

Thank you.  I actually ran a search for the names myself and came up with nothing. My joining the forum further widens the net of Ashley's search. There's always a chance that, even if Paul Kenobi himself didn't visit or join the forum, someone here may know him.
I know that tracking any one person down on the net is an astronomical long shot.  But I told her that I would help and so I will.
Besides, I've managed to find people I went to High School with 12 years ago thanks to myspace and facebook so... there's always a chance. 
At any rate, I'm glad I joined this (mammoth) forum at last, and thank you for the welcome.

Welcome Sith_master_raze!
Do you know where Paul is living or lived while he roleplayed? That could be a very useful hint, because then you could take a look at the local FanForce (a place to meet SW fans from the same area online and in RL) and ask them as well.
My other suggestion is to take a look at our RPG boards or to ask a Mod of those boards, maybe that can give you an hint.
I wish you much luck for your search and I hope that you won't leave the forum too soon - no matter if you find him or not.

Oh, I'm not going to vanish if I don't find this person. This search is only one reason for my joining.
As recommended, I looked around the fan art forum and was left wishing I had a good scanner.  Oh well, item number 792 of "things in which to invest".

So I exaggerated slightly...
One of the main priorities for my cash is getting married this fall. That, and the expense of moving into a bigger apartment.
So the lots of other things on however long a list revolve around a life-changing event for me.

It'll be a normal one, though I'm tempted to keep an FX lightsaber with me.
Her family, especially her father, are very much in favor of a traditional wedding. He wants to be able to walk his daughter down the aisle and I respect that.

I love traditional ones as well, but I think (if I ever get married) I will add something that some people would call 'crazy', not sure what exactly yet, but I think I have a bit time since I haven't got asked yet, right?
