It's cool that you followed the advice of a friend and I bet you won't regret it. Did he show all different kinds of boards and places already? If not, ask him, I'm sure he'll be happy to do this. 
About my favorite Jedi? Mhm, at the moment I would say Yoda. Not very spectacular, but I think it is him.
