Lanna above is right, some newbies have been even infected with the ST virus and so we started to be a bit more careful.
Nah, not really, you'll find this as the most friendliest forum ever - at least I haven't found a better one. And you can talk about all topics you want, may they are about SW or non-SW. You can even meet other SW fans from your local area. So take a bit time and look around.
And if the boards gets too overhelming, just come back and sit down with a nice cup of tea or chocolate in our Welcome Newbie Party and tell about your experiences.
