*waves* Hi socks! I'm a sock as well and I hope you can guess of whom.
Beside of using it for gamebans, socks can be useful if your WUL gets too big or if you like to 'dress up' for halloween for example. There are other (smaller/rarer) reason for getting a sock, but I'm sure you'll find them out on your own with some time passing by. 
So... will you stay with your new name or will you switch to your first username again?
