Yeah, the Daily Telegraph was saying something similar. Must say I wonder if Uncle George has learned his lesson this time about pulling out movies that go backwards in time. Basically the rumour comes from a slip of the tongue by George when he was talking about a new movie -- when he in fact meant a TV series (supposedly). Steve Sansweet has denied new movies are coming out, but one argument is on the question that was asked, not the answer: Sansweet denies that two one-hour movies made for TV are coming out, and that instead a Star Wars TV series is due to be made. If you want to get super-technical about it, he never denies that a film is to be made for the cinemas. And if you want to get cynical about it, George "changes his mind" about things all the time: whether to release the OT on DVD; whether to do films; whether to explain how Force ghosts work ...

The prequels should have been a series. Something with a bit of body like Band of Brothers
Instead we got three rushed films that left out more then what finally made the cut.
Give Rogue Squadron to Hanks and Spielberg, see if they come up with something inventive. Battlestar is into its third season, I'm sure the Rogues would have a few seasons worth in it.

Kind of ironic that battlestar started life as a shameless starwars knock-off, and now it's been re-invented as a new series that in so many ways is leading the way in sci-fi.

That was only a ugly rumour that has been shot down the only new star wars stuff will be on the small screen in forms of a cartoon and live action series
