I'll laugh if he updates us and the only person he could get to talk to him was a diehard Imperial.
  2. Malachi Jedi Master

You seem to only be discussing the pictures, but didn't even notice a large interview with Jason Fry on EUCantina where they came from. Check it out!
  3. Gorefiend Jedi Grand Master

Ah Thx Malachi :) Just saw that there were a few new pictures online but not where they came from.

I demand this guide! Right now! :D

And I am rather curious about how Jason approached the Clone army size thing.

Cool read. I really do dig the "Fab Four" picture.
  5. AdmiralNick22 Jedi Grand Master

Well, they have $14 wi-fi in economy, so I am able to pass the time blissfully while posting.

@Loyal_Imperial- Alas, the flight attendants are not the friendliest folks, so I will not risk making an ememy of them by instructing them on Fleet Tactics and Combat Methodology. :p

Those are awesome, literally. But shouldn't Luke also have Anakin's lightsaber?

Everything Jason Fry says makes me so excited. Except the cut content. I WANT THAT OTHER HALF A BOOK.
  8. The Loyal Imperial Census & Games General Manager

So do I. The Essential Guide to Warfare II? I'll pay for that.
  9. blackmyron Jedi Master

Now I want the Essential Guide to Xim more than anything else. :_|

Edit: Jason has a top-secret Clone Wars project he's wrapping up???!
  10. Trip Jedi Master

i'm in love with that rebel leaders pic. SO MUCH SUBTEXT
  11. Cronal Jedi Master

I vote for six Essential Guides personally :p

EDIT: Also, dang, I really would love to see that Celestial section being mentioned now as it sounds cool.

A pity to read that there's going to be no deep exploration of orders of battle, unit composition, et al. I was looking forward to something resembling an updated version of the old chart from the Imperial Sourcebook, but I guess it's my own fault for expecting things that han't been announced. :p Still very looking forward to this. :)
  13. Dr. Steve Brule Jedi Master

I immediately thought it was Jeffrey Dean Morgan.
  14. jasonfry Star Wars Author

Yeah, this is something I've thought about since the days of the outline: Some folks wanted a hardcore deep dive into tactics/units/quantifiable firepower/etc., and while there are elements of that within Warfare, generally speaking it isn't that book, for the reasons I discussed in the interview and have gone into on TFN as well. (Which isn't to say I don't think that's a perfectly valid way of looking at Star Wars.) Pleasing everybody is impossible, but hopefully even the hardcore tacticians will find some things to their liking.

Working on endnotes now. They're practically another book in themselves.
  15. Tzizvvt78 Jedi Master

Will the endnotes be on the Official Site or elsewhere? :)
  16. Xero Jedi Master

    The artwork sure looks amazing.

Do ranks in the NR/Imperial military get addressed at all? That's something that I'm rather curious about, since a lot of sources are all over the place.
  18. AdmiralNick22 Jedi Grand Master

Trip, I never quite know whether you are being serious or sarcastic.[face_tee_hee]

  19. dp4m Jedi Grand Master

I believe I saw something with ranks/insignias and code cylinders for Imperials in the book.
  20. AdmiralNick22 Jedi Grand Master

dp4m, out of curiosity, are there any fleet pictures (any era) that are even more epic that the ones we have seen posted online so far (Battle of Deepspace Besh, Battle of Kashyyyk, etc)? To clarify my defintion of epic in this case, I am refering to the sheet number of capital ships and starfighters shown. :-B
