I was just randomly generalizing, because most woman seem to favor blonds (which is something Corran (kind of) and Cade share) and I just think Syn is the most sexy man in a SW comic ever.
I'm not sure we know enough yet to know the answer to that. @Jan_D ? @jfostrander007 ? Is it possible to answer that question yet?
After reading Issue #3, I'd say pretty dark, but that's because he was raised and trained as a servent of the Rakata, so he knows nothing else than darkness.
I dunno, maybe I'm being stubborn, but I don't think that's enough to say he's dark. I still think there is more to the story and at this point it may be that he just hasn't been given a choice. I am making comparisons in my head to Mara Jade. Hand of the Emperor to Force Hound. Similar? Am I crazy?
Issue #03 really showed the team bringing the story/style together. The art especially showed significant development, with each character becoming more distinct. The setting of Tython screams "epic fantasy" & has a distinct 70's vibe (Heavy Metal Magazine, Epic Illustrated etc.) -- as a setting it provides an adventurous backdrop for our young heroes. The classic Star Wars banter (or "blather" ha ha) really made this issue feel like part of the Saga. We have an interesting dark antagonist in Xesh. And the last page definitely had a classical vibe to it, part "The Tempest" & part "Orlando Furioso" with a little Thomas Malory thrown in. Great stuff so far. This could really be the sprawling, epic "Silmarillion" to the GFFA!
@Cymbeline I agree that there seems to be an epic fantasy feel to it. I also agree that it feels like part of the Saga. That's definitely something John and Jan have perfected over the years. @ESg - any specifics that you like so far?
Well but it is still predating the Force Wars so I think ESg had a valid wish that perhaps this series will help us understand the Force War better.
He is just so cool. That Xesh is a pretty cool guy, he hunts force users and doesn't afraid of anything. (hummmm sounds like a good sig) I had him pegged as fangirl bait after his fight with the jedi, or what ever they call themselves, all he needs to do now is brood(sp?) though he does not look like the type, and be nice/ try to seduce, to the darkside, that angry girl, I don't know their names so its; princess, red and angry girl.
I like that sig Ausstig. Hope you don't mind if I borrow it? Princess, Red and Angry Girl. That sums our trio up nicely. Rakata invasions, Force Wars, dark and brooding Force Hounds, a lone, dark Je'daii imprisoned on a dark moon, forcesabers, mysterious Tho Yor... so many possibilities for conflict and confrontation in this era. On the Draco scale of angry Force users, Xesh gets a 10+
Oh no that's like a...a.... mega Draco, hum so should we say a great dragon? Indeed this era looks like fun, though I will wait until events progress, maybe another 14 issues before I render judgment
