On the topic of the companion achievements in ME1, I never bothered with them. I think I only got Kaidan's, and after 3 playthroughs to get my character to level 60 for ME2, I decided I wasn't going to do 4 or 5 more just to get those stupid achievements for everybody. I like getting achievements if they present a fun challenge, but I don't necessarily need to have them all. Especially because I pretty much like all the squad members in ME1 (to a lesser extent Ashley and Kaidan), and I like to bring along different ones on each and every mission.

Tali is one of my favourite characters, by the way.

See, I don't normally make a thing of getting all the achievements for every game, but since it's probably my favourite gaming franchise ever, I figured if I'm going to have any games completed it might as well be the ones I love the most. Besides, they're all pretty easy to get. I got all of ME2's no problem, without even making a thing of going for them. Wrapped up ME3 a couple weeks back, so now only got the first game to do.

Yeah ME2's are extremely easy. I've got almost them all without trying, I think the only ones I have left are for the DLC. Also want to get 100% on the Assassin's Creed games.

Have fun with the multiplayer.

And speaking of multiplayer, I have officially made the permanent transition over to Gold on ME3. And no, not FBWGeth, proper Unknown-Unknown Gold. Starting to get bored of Silver, it's ridiculously easy. Gold is much more satisfying because it's a fun challenge. Still pretty easy (teammates and lag depending of course) but at least you have to work a little for your credits. That said I got a good lobby going this afternoon and we were just destroying match after match. I'm almost wishing for an even higher difficulty level now because with the top tier classes stuff still gets taken down really quickly.

Yeah I just saw your message on Xbox Live today. I haven't gone back to it for a month, I'm still on bronze. Too addicted to TF2 right now and I still have Skyward Sword, Skyrim, Deus Ex, Battlefield, Rage, Halo Anniversary, and ME3 SP to play.

Forgive my ignorance, but can you/have you played as a Geth yet?

Can you? Yes. Have I? Oh dear God yes. Geth Infiltrator with the plasma shotgun is retardedly overpowered. I didn't come up with that sig but it pretty much epitomized my session this afternoon.

Yeah, I got all my ME2 achievements on the first go. Wasn't even trying. I didn't get Paramour because I didn't want to cheat on Liara, and I didn't get Insanity because I was playing on Hardcore. I will definitely get them though.

Drew, you really need to play ME3. Don't take any breaks, the story will suffer. Just keep at it, it's better for the immersion.

Is Mass Effect really that good? It sounds like another shooter..

Are you kidding me? It's about the most engaging RP of all time.

The story is sooooooo EPIC. The best thing is the continuity. If you export your character from game to game, you'll have to live with the consequences of all the choices you made over the course of the games. It's fantastic.

I'm not ashamed to say the third game brought tears to my eyes on several occasions.

Aside from that, the action-gameplay gets really great from ME2 onward. It's not all that great in the first game, but the story is continually top-notch.
