I'm having a blast! This kind of has a camping feel to it. We're all hanging out together in temporary homes with people we don't always spend much time with. We even have bugs! At least we don't need stinky bug spray for them. While I don't want to lose our old stuff, a part of me loves this fresh start. It seems like people are more willing to jump into new conversations and meet new people. Maybe some forums (or groups of forums as the case may be) are less intimidating when they are new. Or maybe it makes people more adventurous, I don't know. But anyway I'm sure some hate it here, but I can't be the only one enjoying it.
Tunick loves them. It's nice to see him being so positive about something. I hate them and I'm going to make a point of bitching about them every day in order to keep everyone informed.
It's that new car smell, that's all. By the time we're ready to move into the new servers you'll be sick of the place
Strife made a really good point and I hope I don't lose my stories. I backed them up then my laptop just Someone is looking at it and is going to tell me if it's worth salvaging or not so now.... We better not loose our stories I worked so hard on them.
People apparently think I hate everything about the new boards. Really, I just hate the "likes" (and the ignore feature, but that'll be turned off). And everything.
I've made plenty positive posts about the Lakers, especially in June of 2002 (I can't believe I've been posting about the Lakers on these boards for just about 10 years now), 2009 & 2010, when they won championships. But yes, I really do much like/love/am happy/giddy about the look & feel of this temp board, most of which will probably (hopefully) make it's way to the new permanent boards. A job well done.
I'm liking it here. The big forum with the tag your subforum is a nice feature. Makes it easy to mingle and still find exactly what you're looking for.
I enjoy them. Even the "like" feature. I saw posts on the old boards that made me really want a "like" button. (OK, so I'm a bit of a Facebook junkie too.) I also like that due to us all being in this together, I'm viewing some threads from forums that I never visited on the old boards.
My husband is doing the same thing. He's having fun exploring new areas (boards, topics?) that he'd never visited before. He was even in FanFic today and posted a couple little stories.
So, if I'm following you correctly, are you saying this new board is like New York City during the heydey of Ellis Island, except happier?
Katya, after all this time you call me a boy? Most of the users from the past three or years or so know I'm a girl. Is your memory going or something?
