The thing is I know a couple users who flat out left the forum, but still watch the show and comment on it, because of how strong the pro TWC's crowd was at times.

@GG I'm not defending everyone who's ever made a comment like that, I tried to make that qualifier when I said it the first time, I'm just saying that it's not always someone being a jerk, sometimes people are legitimately confused. I've been there.

I know you're not, but I'm just stating what I usually see "from my perspective."

But I don't want Filoni to see me a some kinda negabomb when I go. Lol. I might even splurge on one of the expensive 7 day tickets and go each Sunday. Except for possibly memorial day. Oh that pains me since that's probably the weekend DBB will be there. But I just can do the busiest weekend of the year for Disney.

Sure thing. I could always just buy one of the souvenir Indiana Jones hats and pass it off as his.

Guys, there is no way to determine how well something is received by looking at comments on facebook pages. You're only seeing what a small portion of a specific demographic is thinking.

This part of the debate is pointless.

It's not exactly scientific polling data. [face_clown]

It isn't scientific. When it comes to how "good" or popular a piece of entertainment media, there's very little that can be confirmed using the scientific process. Stuff like shark/Karkarodon-jumping is subjective. However, there are a few indicators that show that TCW might be well-received.

First of all, TCW has a good ratings performance, topping 1 million American viewers with every S4 episode, sometimes surpassing 2 million and regularly out-competing rivals within Cartoon Network and elsewhere. It does very well among the 6-11 demographic, and sometimes among the 18-49 demographic. I broke this down in a post on the old forums. If TCW was not well-received among audiences, then people would not be returning every week to watch it.

Secondly, media reaction to TCW from those not fully immersed in SW lore has been generally positive. Some might argue that Entertainment Weekly and other outlets simply "gush" over TCW in order to gain access to Lucasfilm for exclusive content, but even the ones who slammed the oft-maligned early-S3 political episodes seem to praise TCW's ongoing "cinematic" story arcs. According to Sam Witwer on the Forcecast, even Simon Pegg liked the Maul episodes. Even if he now has a vested interest in Lucasfilm and TCW, if he disliked or didn't care for these episodes, he wouldn't have let that reach the public's ears via Witwer.

I actually have one of those. Maybe I should where it to SWW. It'd be like the TCW fan equiv of the Mickey Mouse ears everyone else wears.

And to be on topic its my opinion TCW has not jumped the shark. Will not be canceled. Will be in syndication in the first quarter of 2012. And I agree with Quango.

Agreed with See. Also, I will boldly predict that the jumped-the-Karkarodon/Tamson claim will continue to be made about at least one thing per season for the remainder of the show. Or not-so-bold, depending on your point-of-view. ;)

Definately. Then when the real shark jump happens the role will reverse because she will be gone.
