Definitely needs to be this size if it's going to stay there.
I still vote that the timestamp be shifted somewhere else - just not the upper left hand corner since the first thing I notice when I see a post shouldn't be the time, but the reduced size is definitely better.
I have no idea if this has been asked yet, but is there any way to move the Facebook recommend option to someplace other than above the button to return to the forums list (or remove it entirely, as it is silly)?
Yeah, but there's no reason though why it couldn't be moved to the right near the post number.
Is there a way to make the "user info", "inbox" and "alerts" menus not drop down automatically with merely a pass of the mouse, but rather by clicking them? I'm asking because I use the little arrow at the end of the menu bar to open the navigation board and skip between forums, and sometimes my aim is a bit off and my mouse brushes accidentally the three buttons above before landing on the arrow, so I have to click outside of the drop-down menus and then come back to the arrow to open the navigation board. If that's not too complicated to make happen, it would be appreciated.
IIRC it's just a switch, but personally I kind of like the current system.
I too would prefer having to click to open them. Either that, or fix it so that rolling off of them is enough to close them. Whatever the solution, the current implementation is absurd; common sense dictates that if something opens on mouseover, it should close on mouseout. Opening the menu on mouseover and requiring a click to close it is frankly stupid.
Just writing to tell you that, ever since we had the layout rebooted, it's looking a bit strange on the left side, especially compared to what it was before. I include a shot of my screen, where I took out the irrelevant parts:
I use IE9, without the compatibility mode.
I understand it may not be in your priorities right now, but I thought I'd bring the problem to your attention.
I have the exact same issue on Firefox 12, but not on the forum list. On the forum list, there is about a 1/4 inch of buffer space between the dark blue row and the banner on both the top and left. That buffer space is not present on the thread lists or thread displays, on which the "breadcrumbs" row stays where it is, leaving that odd block to fill the space between the light blue row and the breadcrumbs.
I have no idea why that is happening.
Looks the same on my Chrome install.
It's not doing it on some of the other styles though.
Not sure if this is the right place, but could you make the links in signatures more apparent? Right now, the only way I can tell if a link is there is by running my mouse over the text.
