The Legend of Korra's facebook page gained over 100,000 likes/shares in the last few days!

So, they are going to release the first TWO episodes early, this Saturday, March 24th! They'll be available online, a whole month before they first air on Nickelodeon.

For anyone who doesn't know, this is the sequel to Avatar: The Last Airbender, over 70 years after Aang defeated Firelord Ozai. It will follow the new Avatar (a young woman named Korra) learning Airbending from one of Aang's sons (Master Tenzin) in Republic City (1920s-ish, but still very East-Asian-styled) , where she'll be fighting organized crime and the anti-bender Equalist movement.

Darn, I'm just watching season 1 of Avatar right now. I probably won't be done with the whole thing for another week, maybe week and a half. But at least I'll then be able to watch Korra still a bit early

Does anyone care to discuss this long-awaited pilot?

I have a question for the mods - since the first two episodes are being released early online before the actual airing on TV, will we be able to discuss them without hiding the spoilers, even though they haven't aired yet on TV? What's the spoiler policy on this?

Do we even have a way to hide spoilers yet?

Hmmm... the official Korra Nation site states that you can watch the premiere tomorrow. However, I see no mention of the second episode. I sure hope they give access to both.

I was at the page where you can actually view the episode tomorrow. Presently, it shows the trailer.

Yesssss... we needed more awesome female characters out there. And Korra looks promising.

Aang wasn't naturally bald, he shaved his head (he grew hair as a part of his disguise in the third season of A:TLA). And I don't think Tenzin is bald, either, he probably shaves his head, too. It's part of their Air Nomad culture. And the arrow is a tattoo every Airbender gets when he or she masters all the Airbending techniques (or, in Aang's case, invents a new one - the Air Scooter). When Tenzin's kids finish their training, they might get them, too...

In that case I propose this to be the spoiler thread. Anyone having any objections to that?
