Games Mass Effect 1, 2, 3... Your salvation through destruction (Spoilers)

Yeah, unfortunately the menus an assorted quest/logs have been glitched for quite awhile. But if a quest is on your active quest list simply because you refuse to complete, well, it'll remain that way until you complete it or fail it utterly. Then again, I refuse to kill Paarthurnax and the quest is no longer in the active list, even though I still have the option to complete it.

I'm not sure if 2.04 is the latest update but yeah, I guess I refer to the killcam/water murkiness/romance Lydia patch. I've seen more annoying crashes/screen freezes and weird bugs with this one than with previous patches.

It seems one Mr Garrus Vakarian AKA Space Batman has scored highly on this list by gamesradar about characters they fell in love with (seriously).

Who doesn't like Garrus?

It's not that I dislike Garrus, it's that I love Liara and Tali even more. Grunt, Legion, EDI and Javik may also fall into the "I like them even better than Garrus" category, maybe. But don't get me wrong, I do love Garrus.

Is there a Garrus statue available? Because if there isn't one it must be made.

Garrus is the only guy I used for pretty much every mission when he was available for me to select. He did both the fire teams for the suicide mission in ME2, I wouldn't trust any other character in the series to get it done when **** turns ugly. As the article says, no matter what happens and what you do Garrus will always stick by you. As much as I like Tali she does tend to complain. Liara is the best romancing choice I think because she doesn't have baggage or complications (Ashley is racist and so would cause issues with the Garrus bromance, Tali lives in a fishbowl and Miranda always comes across as untrustworthy). Plus he's just really cool, I mean he wears a friggin monocle
He & Tali are also the only two who are in all 3 games pretty much throughout. Characters like Wrex & Ashley/Kaiden & Liara are around but they were mainly absent from ME2.

Were I ever to make the effort to compile a Best Companions in Gaming list, Garrus will be on it along with Alyx Vance and HK-47.

Yeah, I'd want Garrus on my six at all times because he is that cool. But sadly, I decided to use him very little during my ME3 runs; as far as gameplay is concerned, I saw him shooting at walls far too many times for me to be amused. But if your squad could've been you and three other guys from the start, my Fantastic Four of a squad would've always been Garrus, Tali and Liara: two guys and their better halves kicking ass and taking names, 24/7.

MINSC is best companion there is. And Boo. For where there is Minsc, there is also Boo!





My FemShep is basically the original default, not the new strange model. The new model is pretty terrible. She looks like a 50 year old woman trying to look like an 18 year old woman. The original default FemShep on the other hand remains awesome.

My Shepard is always the default male. I liked it well enough to keep it through 3 games.Which worked out nicely in ME3 because when I imported my ME2 character I got this weird abomination with saggy jowls and a blond goat-tee. All I had to do was switch it back to the default.

As for Garrus, he's always a part of my A-Team. Every game he's always been by my side. My best buddy Second spot usually goes to a biotic since I usually play as a Soldier.

Because clarification is all the rage: EA is much more interested in your money than your fun, in that they are perfectly willing to see you have less of the latter if it results in them getting more of the former. Contrast that with many other game companies who would rather make sure you have more fun because that brings them more money.

I just downloaded the Resurgence DLC (which supposedly fixed the ending?) and restarted the mission Return to the Citadel...however, everything is playing out as it did before.

Do I need to start a whole new game file in order for the DLC ending to be applied?

Resurgence is just a multiplayer patch.

Resurgence allows you to play as a Krogan Vanguard, if you've got the quads for it.

Yep. The ending DLC won't be available until sometime this summer, apparently.

Sorry dude, but whatever made you think Resurgence was the expanded edition DLC? Besides, that DLC won't "fix" the ending. Frankly, no one knows what exactly it will add to the sorry spectacle.

Whatever happens, I refuse to listen to the insane omnicidal Lovecraftian Elder God who has existed for millions, potentially billions of years when he suggests that he has a "Final Solution" that involves changing the genetic makeup of everything in existence. I'm also not going to risk becoming him. So, sorry EDI, sorry Geth; hopefully this thing won't destroy you, but this is the only sane option.
