I get easily all my reviews at FFN. Probably just because it is a bigger community. As for SDN...that would be Stardestroyer.net... which I am well aware is not regarded as a good forum...and I know why, the population is...hard to get used to... Though, as long as you don't act like a moron its easy enough to get around, and some of the people are actually nice and easy to get along with (at least in my time there). Just stay away from the versus arguments if you value your sanity...
What's ffn? Edit I've was on stardestroyer.net once. It's like being in military school! Every post has to be approved by a mod, who do so only if they feel it adds to the discussion! For me, theforce.net is the best Star Wars forum on the net. For all intents and purposes, it's more or less like the official star wars forum. But just out of curiosity, are there any other Star Wars forums active these days? 90% of them are inactive.
Our sister site Rebelscum is still very active. It's more collecting-oriented but does have general Star Wars discussion as well.
It may have used to be that way, but they don't filter posts now. Just again, don't be stupid with what you post and you'll never have any problems. Though I do agree on Force.net being the best Star Wars forum on the internet. I just use SDN for more general sci-fi and video game stuff. I very rarely go to the SW section on it. And FFN is Fanfiction.net. Which is currently in the middle of self-destructing as everyone is jumping ship because they finally started enforcing rules.
Once the actual official Star Wars forum (meaning the boards on starwars.com) closed and deleted all content, that is. I used to post there before I posted on TFN, and there was never any comparison anyway... TFN was just that much better.
What rules are you talking about? The maturity ratings? I don't like the inability to put in links. They added a image feature so you can put in cover art, but I haven't figured it out yet.
Yep, that would be the rule I'm talking about. People are really up in arms about it...not really sure why. If they actually read the freaking rules before posting...oh well, nothing new there. I don't like not being able to put in links either, and I haven't figured out the image thing either. For now it just uses my avatar, not any special pics.
Aaah, the uproar on ff.n has passed me by. Most of my fics are K and K+ rated and I'm very conservative on rating my fics. All it takes is one person to complain . . . . The image thing was pretty easy to do. But cover art for all my fics? That'll take awhile.
lol... this isn't, at all, on topic... but I swear to god, I thought your title said "mobile [sexually promiscuous individual]."
I thought your title said "mobile [sexually promiscuous individual]." don't say it don't say it don't say it don't say it don't say it don't say it don't say it don't say it ...Anyway, are we there yet? Ramza Edit: Do not quote prohibited words.
Can't believe it didn't occur to me to check and see if that word is prohibited. Stupid! Kind of a shame, too, there's no good way to preserve the joke and still edit it. And no, no we are not there yet. Still waiting on the Mikester. Mike-o-rama. Mike man.
What? I thought [sexually promiscuous individual] and [sexually promiscuous individual] - ty were allowed now. lol.. I wouldn't have posted that in comms, had I known... I swear I've seen it posted before, though.
Took me by surprise, too. Now I'm going to have to hunt down [sexually promiscuous individual] with a vengeance.
Uhh...sorry...didn't mean to de-rail the thread like that. On-topic though...I don't mind the temp boards, so I say take as long as is needed to get the new boards up. Better to have them working right after all.
I see there's a Warning function now. It doesn't seem to be particularly attention-grabbing, though - the bolded red text does a better job, I feel.
