20 at start of CW, 26 at end. I'm pretty sure their growth rate was double and the growth rate was not stopped. 19 years between the CW and the GCW. for a total age of 64 at the start of the GCW. The Star Wars Galaxy has Luke, Han and Leia kicking butt at 60 and 70 but regular troops? No way. Just can't see it
I think theyre growth rate were only increased when they had chemicals put into them at the cloning facility on kamino. once they got out they had normal aging. makes sense to me
No, the life-long accelerated aging suffered by the clones is a major plot point in Karen Traviss' Repcom/Mandolove books.
maybe the 501st was different? i mean theyres no way that the clones were still fighting during theyre mid 60's
It depends. 60 is not that old in Star Wars, especially for a bunch of genetically-perfect supermen, which the clones are. Plus there's no reason to assume they didn't keep growing Jango clones-in fact, we know they did, given that we see baby clones in the growing tanks on Kamino in AOTC that wouldn't have been matured until about 7 years after the founding of the Empire. The 501st is also the only legion to remain all Jangos into the OT, presumably since they're a special missions unit; also, the 501st is seemingly larger at least initially than other stormtrooper legions, as the 501st absorbed the Special Operations Brigade after the Clone Wars was over.
It's implied that its the same batch of clones. like when the death star blows up and kills 3/4th of the 501st the narrator says "i fought with some of those men for over 20 years" so it is the same batch of clones. also all of the jango clones besides the 501st were cycled out 7 years after the clone wars after the rebellion on kamino. so they were physically about 40 years old at that time when they were cycled out for new clones http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Battle_of_Kamino_(Imperial_Period)
SOME. Not all or even most. Unless you're seriously believing that the 501st on Hoth was completely different from the guys who died on the Death Star. Okay, so what about clones in other legions? We're discussing the 501st, not the rest of the Stormtrooper Corps; there's no reason to assume they weren't getting new clones.
The Republic Commando series is fine, save silly inconsistencies like the size of the respective armies of the participants, the armies need to be larger with the stated numbers being the initial size, and the blatant conflict on New Mandalorians between TCW and the RC series, that needs to be resolved by making Sundari the capital of Kalevala instead of being on Mandalore.

I could have sworn that i heard all jango clones were cycled out except for the 501st and the republic comandos. and they used new clones and had recruits join. yeah and the 501st got new clones, but they were some of the few jango clones left in the empire.
The size of the respective participants can easily be explained, its the New Mandalorians being on Mandalore is one of my major problems, and can only be explained by making Sundari the capital of Kalevala instead of being on Mandalore.
Keldabe remains the capital of Mandalore. Sundari is another city on Mandalore, claimed by the New Mandalorians as their capital following their rise. As they are the dominant political faction as recognized by the Republic, it's their capital city their recognize, not Keldabe. Sundari being the capital of Kalevala would be a relatively easy fix, but it seems as if the EU's shying away from blatantly swapping planets. I'm okay with this for two reasons: already, the EU has fought back against the concept of the end of Mandalorian warriors in favor of staunch pacifists at a level I've never seen before. Everything from The Essential Atlas, to the New Battlefronts visual guide, to the Essential Guide to Warfare has seen fit to create a fitting compromise that allows for both sides to coexist, and fans of either version to keep their preferred incarnation alive. Secondly, think about the way the conflict on Mandalore was presented in the Season 2 episodes. If the New Mandalorians are such fervent pacifists, what does the Death Watch have to fear in moving against them? The warrior clans, the so-called "True" Mandalorians, that remain in Keldabe and the other locations across the planet. Leaving the events on Mandalore create a subtler effect, when viewed through the lens of pre-existing EU knowledge. That's how I choose to look at it, anyway, and I know I'm not alone in that regard.
Presumably, only Satine is a full-on pacifist, and even then, she's not completely above hitting people. The rest of the Mandalorian society prefers non-violence and neutrality on the galactic scale, but they're still Mandalorians, tough and resilient, well-versed in martial matters (seriously, Satine's elite guards can deflect blaster fire) and still able to put up a fight when a marginal group wants to press their warmonger ideals on them. If the Death Watch tried to take Mandalore by force, the people would kick them out in three days!
Probably this Star Wars: 1313 thingy I've been hearing about. Why can't they just announce Battlefront III, Republic Commando II, Jedi Knight IV, a new X-Wing game, Rogue Squadron IV, or TFU III? I'd be EXTREMELY excited about one of those. But, of course, LucasArts probably forgot about those franchises.
