Thanks for the kind words, glad someone who didn't like Maul's return got something out of that post.

Koonfan was good at that too. He could see things in a light that gave me a new perspective, sometimes.

One of my favorite moments from Season 4 was Ahsoka's Quad Cap. Who has that GIF again!

Wow... S1 is pretty violent, but I think they keep getting more brutal with each season. Any cynic worth his salt would come up with uncomplimentary reasons for why they're doing that, but who cares? I'll take them pushing the envelope on violence over them playing it safe, regardless of intent.

There are times when I think its violence for the sake of violence and times when I think it fits. I guess in the end its good TCW is pushing that bountry. Toonami 4.0 is gonna be badass. B)

    Campaign coming in May.

The brutality is one of the only things that made Prisoners feel like an arc climax in my opinion. It was a little random when Dengar started blowing people up too, but I was on board. [face_party]

I was pretty surprised by the brutality in Revenge.

I know a lot of people won't agree with me, but I feel like they're trying to hit every audience and failing to hit any well as a result.

Sometimes I can't believe how far CN lets it go. Granted Thundercats can be neck and neck with TCW. Remember "Sword of Omens Part 2" where the Lizards are burning the cats' village down? They show that bunker with the women and children in it then later show a missle flying into it and ya hear the screams. Transformers Prime is almost there, the fighting is violent but there are only two brutal human deaths I can recall granted one of them had it coming because getting between a semi-truck and the tractor trailer is like Darwin Award of the year stupid.

    Yeah.

Lots of violence and torture but Saturday morning cartoony stories and characters.

The violence is good, so long as it fits in the story. I agree its not a show for small children.

See I've never had an issue with the violence in the show because the basic premise is that it's a war. War is inherently a cruel thing, and so from the name "Star Wars: The Clone Wars" you'd have to assume parents would know what they're letting their kids get into. It's never phased me when I see a clone gunned down or an Umbaran shot at point-blank range because... well... it's a battle field. I kind of really hope to see more instances of such brutality just to add to the (severely lacking) element of realism in the show's depiction of conflict.

For that reason, Kalifa's death in Padawan Lost remains my favorite moment of the series. Right as everything seemed okay, bam- harsh reality rears its nasty head. Not only are we forced to see Ahsoka having to suffer the loss of her colleague, we also get exposed to rad mohawk lizard raging over the loss of his son. I still consider the moment Ahsoka turns and begins to walk away with the trandoshan screaming in the background to be quite haunting. To me it showcased that there are always two sides to any conflict, and it was probably the only moment I can think of in the series thus far that really gave off that time honored message of, "In war there are no winners."

I also find the scene where Ahsoka is walking away as that Trandoshan is losing his mind to be somewhat chilling.

I watched the Mandalore arc with my siblings as their introduction to the series a couple weeks ago, they were really into it. I've since watched the Geonosis arc and the Grievous Intrigue arc. It's definitely got me in the mood for the Zillo Beast.

I want to see some Sith brutality. Hell, even Boba Fett disintrigrating someone would be nice.
