Saw this on Youtube and I thought it looked funny and decided to post it. Its the trailer of Seth Macfarlane's first movie. Yes, that's right its movie about a foul mouthed, pot smoking, beer drinking teddy bear who sounds like Peter Griffen.
Okay. Nevermind that it is most definitely just Peter Griffin possessing a teddy bear. Nevermind that it's a film for adults with a talking stuffed animal. What most confuses me is, why Mark Wahlberg?
1997 - Boogie Nights 2000 - The Perfect Storm 2006 - The Departed 2010 - The Fighter 2012 - Ted..... I sincerely hope, for Mark Wahlberg, that this film succeeds.
So this bear that comes to life....is fat, 420 friendly, a wannabe womanizer, is a strain on his best friend/roommate's relationships, and makes caustic remarks and observances about life in general. Perhaps instead of "Ted", they should have called it "Seth Rogen". Well, once you've done The Happening, it kind of dampens down your career choices. Look at John Leguizamo...if you can find him.
About the only bit that works for me is the White Trash Names bit. Thunder Buddies almost did in the red band, but the cursing actually kind of ruined that bit for me.
Looking forward to this- both trailers are quite funny. Glad the redband wasn't just the green band with some swearing added, but rather, had entirely different sequences.
